The Vertix seems lighter in hand, despite though it is reported as 4.67 lb., the Triax is labeled as 4.46 lb., I believe the compactness of Triax has to do with it seeming big and heavy. Also, the Vertix seems less top heavy (less prone to slide forward) (less prone to roll forward). I did chrono the Triax and at my specifications it was firing 296 fps.

How do you alter the draw weight on a Mathews bow?
Draw weight changes are accomplished with either a 3/16” or 7/32” Allen Wrench. Turn the limb bolt clockwise to raise the draw weight and counter clockwise to lower the weight. Both limb bolts must be adjusted similarly, else the bow may go out of tune/synchronization. The limb bolt should be tight.
