The Alpha 100 is a vital tool on the field that helps you get the most out of your athletic dogs. It combines Tri-Tronics® electronic dog training technology with proven Garmin GPS dog tracking. This simple, integrated portable device enables you to monitor and train your dogs in the outdoors from a distance of up to 9 miles away, providing their precise location every 2.5 seconds.

Even when the dogs or hunters are out of sight, use multiple Alpha 100 handhelds and appropriate dog collars (available separately) to pinpoint up to 20 dogs or hunters’ precise locations on a big, glove-friendly touchscreen display. You’ll always be aware of your surroundings since the Alpha 100 comes preloaded with TOPO U.S. 100K maps.

This version of the Alpha is only allowed for usage in the United States due to various foreign legislation. The Canadian government now prohibits the sale and unauthorised use of the Garmin Alpha dog tracking and training system in any form. Industry Canada declared in June 2009 that, after a 5-year transition period, the MURS radio frequency utilized by the Alpha will be authorized in Canada.

“The Department does not believe that the introduction of MURS devices in Canada is warranted at this time,” Industry Canada stated in June 2014, “and has decided to defer the introduction of MURS devices in Canada until a clearer indication of actual need is provided by Canadian MURS advocates and/or stakeholders.”

Garmin is committed to bringing the Alpha to Canadian consumers, and will continue to work with Industry Canada to achieve this objective. Customers in Canada should contact their local Industry Canada office to express their wish for the product to be authorized for usage in their country.

The Alpha handheld is pre-loaded with 100K TOPO maps of the United States, allowing you to constantly be aware of your surroundings.

You may use the Alpha 100 method to determine each dog’s speed, distance, and direction of movement. You may also get notified when your dog has been “treed” or is “on point.” Up to 20 dogs or other hunters using an Alpha 100 handheld may be tracked using the Alpha 100 portable.

Your Dogs Must Be Trained and Controlled!

The Alpha 100 portable aids in the training and management of your dogs, allowing them to cease pursuing undesirable wildlife or “recall” your location. The simple training buttons enable you to communicate with each dog independently using safe and effective features such as 18 levels of temporary and continuous stimulation, as well as an audio tone command. To prevent inadvertent stimulation or tone, a lockout option is offered.

There are two level advancement modifications available to further tailor your training. Traditional stimulation enables you to make fast adjustments within a set of parameters (low, medium or high). Linear stimulation provides for increased stimulation as you advance through the 18 levels provided.

Keep Them Away From Hazard.. Don’t wait until your dog is lost or in danger to get him back. Setup virtual boundaries on your map and receive an alert if your dog strays from your geofence so you can recall him right away.

Your Own Bird’s Eye View.. Track and train up to 3 dogs based on where they are with BirdsEye satellite imagery. These highly-detailed raster maps provide a realistic bird’s eye view of roads, parking areas, buildings, and terrain, including tree lines, lakes, rivers, and streams.

Keep Your Dogs on Track.. From the training screen, correct and recall multiple dogs with the help of Tri-Tronics electric training. Select traditional or linear progression plus tone or stimulation types.
